These Terms govern your use of PromotePals, a marketplace for discovering, verifying, sponsoring, and cross-promoting newsletters. This is a general template and should be reviewed by your legal counsel before launch. By using the service you agree to these Terms.
Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use PromotePals.
Listings & content
You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant us a license to display it within the marketplace. You are responsible for the accuracy of your audience metrics and pricing, and for having the rights to the materials you upload. A free listing becomes publicly visible once the PromotePals badge is installed on your site.
Verification
Verification badges indicate that certain checks were completed at a point in time; they are not a guarantee of future performance. Gold Verification involves a human review (including a video call) of your subscribers, engagement, and legitimacy. Submitting false information may result in removal of badges and termination.
Payments
Listing, discovery, sponsorship inquiries, and cross-promotion are free. Paid features — Profile Boosts and Verification — are one-time charges processed by our payment provider. Boosts are time-limited as described at purchase. Except where required by law, one-time fees are non-refundable once the benefit (placement, verification review) has begun.
Marketplace transactions
PromotePals is a discovery platform. Sponsorships and cross-promotions are agreements between publishers and advertisers; we are not a party to them and are not responsible for the performance, payment, or delivery of any deal arranged through the platform.
Acceptable use
Do not misrepresent metrics, spam other users, infringe intellectual property, attempt to bypass verification, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PromotePals is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination & changes
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and may update these Terms with notice posted on this page.
